- Why does quitting the app cause notifications to stop eventually?
If you force-quit the app (swipe up in the app switcher), iOS may stop delivering notifications until you reopen it.
Open the app to resume alerts. Only force-quitting causes this — restarting your phone, installing iOS updates, and leaving the app in the background are all fine.
- How often will I get alerts?
In a typical month, expect roughly 60–80 alerts (about 2–3 per day), though this varies a lot with volatility — calm months can be under 20, volatile ones over 150.
Alerts get further apart as the price climbs. Around $50k–$100k you'll get an alert every $1,000. Around $100k–$200k every $2,000, etc.
- What if the price doesn't move for a long time?
- When things are quiet, you'll get an alert every few days so you know you didn't miss anything.
- How reliable are the alerts?
The service is designed to continue operating without interruption in the event of a single server failure or price feed outage.
Although we use multiple (redundant) servers and price feeds, it is not possible to guarantee 100% uptime or notification delivery.
- Can I customize the alert thresholds?
- No. Thresholds are automatic — that's the point. There's nothing to set up.
- Why didn't I get a notification?
- Make sure you haven't force-quit the app — that may stop notifications until you reopen it.
- Ensure notifications are enabled in iOS Settings → Notifications. Alerts trigger on threshold crossings, not continuously.
- Check iOS Focus modes (Do Not Disturb, Sleep, Driving, etc.). A Focus filter can silence Bitcoin Price Alert even when notifications are otherwise enabled.
- When your device is offline, Apple Push Notification Service typically drops all but the most recent alert.
- Why did alerts stop after reinstalling?
- Open the app once after reinstalling to refresh the device token.
